           **Biography - Anne Hughes has been the Director of the Glen Carbon Library since 1995.  As the Director Anne's main duties include reporting to the Library Board of Trustees, overseeing and mentoring staff, fiscal responsibility of library budget, selecting and purchasing materials, grant-writing, programming, and library system and community liaison.  Anne received her  M.L.S., from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.  Her past work experiences include working in University, medical, law, corporate and public library settings. Interests include reading (of course!) and traveling. Anne's family: Husband, Loren; daughter, Erin; and son, Luke.  Two cute cats, and one dog.
