Bring in the Arts GRANT

Kiosks Loan Policy - Must be read before completing the Loan Agreement Reservation Form.

Kiosk(s) Testimonial: Lansing Public Library had the opportunity to “bring in the arts” by hosting the Arts & Crafts and Storytelling & Theater kiosks for the past month. They were sturdy, easy to set-up and did not take up much space. Children from pre-school through about grade 3 really enjoyed them. As soon as the kids walked into the library, they would make a beeline straight to these brightly colored activity centers. Once discovered, a few moms made repeated trips to the library so their little ones could spend extra time at the kiosks. Each kiosk includes a Mac computer that features specialized programs that correspond with its theme. Each kiosk also has drawers and cabinets that store Etch-a-Sketches, Aqua Doodles, stencils, scissors, markers, puppets and masks. Children would sit down and become totally engrossed in the activities. These exhibits provided a great chance for the children that visit our library to learn and play in new ways. It was a very rewarding experience for staff and patrons.
